12 Days of Christmas

Monday, December 10, 2012

So yesterday was a rather dreary one, and today is shaping up to look like more of the same. But it is Washington after all, so what can be done? I'll tell you what. It's nothing. Which sucks. But whatever, this is life in the northwest. Woooo. Seriously though, everyone thinks it's just so pretty and so green and it's like...yeah...because it rains all the time. All. The. Time. Depression.
Anyways, my grumpy-grump rain rant aside, here's what I threw together yesterday for work. Not gunna lie, my hair was pretty gross so I threw on a hat, and BAM I fooled the world. lol, probably not.

Right now you're probably thinking, "Why the heck is this called the 12 Days of Christmas? All you did was bitch about some rain and talk about your dirty hair, you freak!"
Well you're right, but here's why. Yesterday Dylan and I were supposed to partake is his magical birthday plans for me, and since we're both a little on the poor end right now, seeing as he doesn't work much when he's home and all my money is going straight out the window for Cmas gifts, they consist of cooking some yummy noodles together and watching some movies. Cute and simple, I like it. (Plus what you probably don't know is that for most of my life I have been allergic to any sort of dairy products what-so-ever *No this is not lactose intolerance. That is completely different* and we're just now finding out that I have outgrown my allergy *freaking PARTY* and so I'm shoveling my face full of so much dairy it isn't even funny. We are going to cook some fettuccine alfredo when we both have the free time.)
ANYWAYS, since we realized we didn't have time for this yesterday, which was when it was initially planned since it was the day after my birthday, we decided to spend the short amount of time we did have on a trip to Goodwill.
At first I found this totally amazingly hideous Christmas sweatshirt which would have been perfect for some parties I have coming up, but then upon further perusing the store, I came across this set of glasses. Looking at them I could tell they were vintage and just totally awesome and that I had to have them. With some googling Dy and I found out that they are indeed vintage and collectable and a whole set of them is selling from about $40-$60, depending where you shop. This shocked me, and while I only found a set of nine, finding three replacements is way cheaper than buying a whole set and I got these babies for 99 cents each. Score.
So without further ado, here are my totally sweet glasses.
They're super awesome, right??? I think my family thought I was a little too excited by these when I brought them home, but who cares.
I hope everyone is having a super stellar week so far and keeping things merry and bright.
