A Tad Bit Frumpy

Sunday, March 1, 2015

You know, I didn't realize how slightly frumpy this dress looked on me anymore until I took these photos. Not that I don't like the outfit, because I do (and yes I am wearing one of my moth shirts again), it just makes me a bit sad when clothes I used to love don't fit like they use to. Mind you, I am not sad that I lost the weight, so I think it's an okay trade off in the end. Plus it may also look a little lackluster because before I took these I was jumping and shuffling and crawling all around my room doing my first boudoir shoot ever with an amazing friend of mine! I cannot wait to share some of the photos with you guys, but I am sworn to secrecy until she shares them with her boyfriend. He's currently away with the army, and she's giving them to him as a surprise when he comes home, which I think is absolutely lovely. Anyways, all that movement probably stretched the dress out a little bit, was the point, haha.

I was pretty wiped out from the shoot and it was so cold outside that I didn't snap very many photos, so my bad if the post is a little more sparse than usual.

And my random fact about myself (which I keep forgetting, my b) is that when I was a kid I desperately wished I had freckles, bright red hair, and Japanese eyes. A strange combination, I know. I used to ask my mom if they did eye surgery to change your eye shape because I wanted it so badly. Thankfully young children can't just get plastic surgery willy-nilly.

  1. Haha, I love the random facts about you. You wanted Japanese eyes? That WOULD be kind of a cute combo, honestly.
I hate when dresses are just a little bit off; I think this one could be fixed by a wide belt, maybe? Just something to cinch the waist and make it less blousy? I don't know, I'd have to play with it. But it IS a pretty color and I love the blouse underneath it!

I can't wait to see the photoshoot! I'd love to do a boudoir shoot with someone someday; my fantasy shoot lineup is to do engagement, boudoir, and wedding for the same person. Wouldn't it be awesome to see the entire relationship through like that?

    1. Yes Japanese eyes with my freckles and red hair. Ah, childhood.

This dress drove me insane. I don't have very many belts (I always forget to buy accessories!) and I didn't like it with the ones I do have. Now that my mom is back in town I'm hoping she can alter the top and make it less baggy. I do love the color of the dress and I'd be so sad to see it go.

Yes! Doing all three shoots would be amazing! I never thought of it, but that would be so personal and lovely! All the photos could have the same aesthetic...it'd be amazing! I just posted some shots, so hopefully you get a chance to see them!
