Backwards Is The New Forwards

For a long time I was obsessed with flower crowns and yet unable to wear them. My hair was just in such an awkward in-between phase and they did not look good. It was tragic, but I persevered somehow. Fast-foreward to the lovely lady behind Adorned By Chi sending me this flower crown back when I was pregnant. I had my hair messily pulled back into some weird thing I saw on Pinterest the day my crown came in the mail, and I just popped it atop my hair backwards, stuck a pic on Insta, and called it good. I had planned to take nice photos of the same styling soon after, but CJ came early and you know the rest. But I finally managed to take some photos of this gorgeous crown, and I even added some braids to the original style to be extra fancy! I must say I think wearing flower crowns backwards is going to be the next big thing...or maybe it's just me. Either way, I think you should try it out!

This flower crown is unfortunately now sold out, but I linked above to all the crowns she sells because they are amazing and you obviously need one. (She even has one that looks just like the SnapChat filter.)

Also, I know I always say what lipstick I'm wearing, but I can't for the life of me remember what this was! My b guys. I think it was some super old fat Revlon lip pencil, but I just can't be sure.

And lastly, I have been hotly debating getting bangs lately. What do you think? It took me forever to grow them out, but I kind of miss how they make everything look like you tried, even if it's just a sloppy bun. Let me know!

  1. As an avid bang supporter (I've had mine for almost 10 years now!), I say GO FOR ITTTTTTT! But you know, if you decide to grow them out, it does take awhile. I just secretly hope you'll fall in love with them like I did and never grow them back out. ;)

I think you'd look adorable with them though!

  2. I think with the length your hair is now, you'd look great with a shoulder length bob and bangs! I've been wearing a short curly bob with bangs for a while now, and every time I try to grow them out I miss them and end up cutting them again. Bangs make me feel edgier and just feel more like "me." Maybe changing up your hairstyle would feel nice and refreshing!
